Portland, OR – Portland piano rock duo Eight53 have announced that Spin Doctors bassist Mark White will record tracks for Eight53’s new studio project.

Richard Shank (vocals/keys) and Ben “Benzo” Thomas (drums) are planning to have White play bass guitar on their song “Father”.

“We’re really excited to be able to work with Mark,” said Thomas. “Eight53 have been big fans of Spin Doctors and Mark’s work for a long time.”

The full-length album, due in 2015, is being produced by Eight53 and Kevin Hahn and engineered by Kevin Hahn at Opal Studio in Southeast Portland. White’s session is scheduled for early October.

Other guest musicians to date include Jeff Buehner, Kevin Hahn, and Steve Gajdos.
